Support New Beginnings for the Holidays!

Would you like to help out new beginnings during the holiday season?
We have plenty of ways you could donate your time or money to support vulnerable women and children in our community. Continue reading to find our how YOU can help!

1. Volunteer at our Victorian Country Christmas booth!
Each year the New Beginnings Home sets up a booth and sells tickets to raffle off a hand-stitched Mennonite Quilt. This year we will also be selling handmade art. We have screen printed canvas bags, canvas wall art and watercolor tiles for sale. This event serves as one of our few fundraisers for the house. What we need are about 40 volunteers to help staff the booth. The Victorian Country Christmas begins on Wednesday, November 29th and runs through Sunday, December 3rd. Each shift is about 3 ½ hours long. We will have two people per shift, maybe three during the weekends. We provide all of the Victorian outfits and volunteering gets you free admission for the day you volunteer.

The shifts are:

Wednesday November 29th & Thursday November 30th:
9:15 AM - 1:15 PM
12:30 PM - 4:30 PM
3:45 PM - 8:00 PM

Friday December 1st & Saturday December 2nd:

Sunday December 3rd:

Tiny House #2

Back in May, someone attended our banquet and heard Miles announce the successful completion of building a tiny house on our campus, which will provide additional housing for a single mom and baby.  (A tiny home is a home that is less than 400 square feet in size).

That same evening, Miles also gave an invitation to join New Beginnings in building additional tiny homes. For $30,000 a home can be built, furnished, and provide a safe and sufficient independent living space for a mom and her child.
New Beginnings Homes have been providing housing for single moms for the past 4 years in the program titled, "Welcome Home." It is part of the aftercare program that includes House of Hope, for moms who have chosen to place a child in adoption.
Up until now, residents of Welcome Home have been living in a recently converted home on the property. The home hadn't been used for ministry purposes (other than to house staff) until 2011. An opportunity for the New Beginnings Ministry wa…
