Meet Lindsay!!! {and learn about interning with New Beginnings Home!}

In 2017 New Beginnings started an awesome new INTERN program! Our intern program accepts people who have completed a YWAM (youth with a mission) DTS (discipleship training school)  and want to serve with us for a minimum of 3 months. We have had the blessings of having a few interns come and serve over the past year. Today I want to introduce you to one of our beloved interns. 

Meet Lindsay! 

Lindsay comes to us from the Netherlands. She did her DTS in the fall of 2016 in Amsterdam, and then went on outreach to Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar.

 She is working on our campus part time as a Nanny to the children of our Maternity Home house parents, and part time as a staff assistant.

 Lindsay is bubbly, and full of joy. We love being around her and we are so glad she has come to serve here in Puyallup! 

Lindsay arrived here in the beginning of December 2017, so we had the joy of showing her all of our Christmas traditions. Such as going to see LOTS of Christmas lights:

Lindsay is a very talented gal. She plays guitar, piano, and ukulele. She paints and makes cards. She also does beautiful calligraphy.

We love to celebrate life (and the Creator of it)!

This month on the New Beginnings campus we get to celebrate many birthdays! From a 2nd birthday all the way up to a 95th birthday (WOW)! We love to celebrate life around here, and give thanks to the Lord for creating us, gifting us each breath, and for being our sustainer. 

Psalm 28:7

 The Lord is my strength and my shield;

My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;

Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,

And with my song I will praise Him.

 

Along with celebrating many birthdays this month, we are getting excited for the next few months when we will get to welcome quite a few new babies into the world, and celebrate the awesome women who bravely brought those babes into the world. 

John 10:9-11

A thief comes to steal and kill and destroy, but I came to give life—life in all its fullness. 

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

Our hearts are eternally grateful to all of you out there who have supported our ministry in anyway, you have played a huge part in the celebration of life!  Please continue to partner with us in prayer. Here are a few ideas on ways you can pray:

-Pray that all of our residents will have healthy deliveries

-Pray that all the new babies will be healthy

-Pray that the Lord would continue to bless this ministry with strength and joy

-Pray that the Lord would continue to send all the right residents into our homes, and that they would have open hearts to learn about the creator of life

-Pray for endurance, as many of our gals are nearing the end of their pregnancies

-Pray for peace and direction as our residents enter a new stage of life 

-Pray to thank the Lord for all the good work he is continually doing

New Year, New Beginnings

We hope your 2017 was filled with many blessings. We are so thankful for all the ways you all chose to support New Beginnings in 2017. We are so grateful to the Lord for always providing and choosing to work in and through us. 2017 at New Beginnings was fill with lots of love, laughter, and new babies!

We are so excited about all the ways God is working in the lives of the women in our program and can't wait to meet the new women the Lord will bring into our program in the new year. We are excited and expectant with what God will do in the new year!
