Newness of Life!!!

This past week we, here at New Beginnings, got the privilege of celebrating the baptism of one of our residents in our moms and babies program. Here is what Monique had to say about her baptism: "Today has been a blessing. I was baptized and I felt beautiful. I can't describe the feeling I'm feeling. It's amazing to give my life to God.  It feels even better to make it known to everyone." Please be praying that Monique continues to grow in her relationship with Jesus, and that she would be encouraged. Here are some pictures of the baptism:

Want to serve pregnant women and single mamas in our community???

We have an awesome volunteer opportunity for YOU!!!

We are in search of a few awesome women in our community who want to be involved with new beginnings, and who want to pour into young mamas. Our transportation team has 5 openings. If you (or someone you know) can open your schedule a few hours a week to serve young single mamas, please contact us!!!

On transportation team you would be helping provide young women (and their babies) with transportation to and from appointments and errands. More than that you would be building relationship and showing the love of Jesus to these women through your act of service. These volunteers are always a HUGE blessings to both our residents and our staff.

If you or anyone you know is at all interested in getting involved please contact us.

~Volunteer Spotlight~

Meet Brooke!

Brooke has been a faithful volunteer to new beginnings for several years now. She first started helping out at new beginnings in 2013 when she did an internship here to complete her Human Development Degree with a focus on family studies. She interned for 3 months with us and then went on to graduate, get married, and start her own family. Then in early 2016 Brooke contacted us saying she wanted to regularly volunteer on our campus. For over a year she has served weekly at New Beginnings Maternity Home. Brooke has such a heart for the women we serve. She loves to spend time with them and pour into their lives. She is kind of like a big sister to the gals who live in our program. Brooke serves new beginnings by working on special projects, driving gals to appointments, doing house hold chores, sorting our donations, and putting on fun events for our gals. We just recently got to go over to her house for a girls night where we ate dinner and watched a movie together. Brooke has a two year old daughter named Aria and is expecting her second little girl at the end of this month!! We are so excited for her little family to grow again soon! Please join us in prayer for Brooke and her family as they get closer to their delivery date! Pray for a smooth last few weeks of pregnancy and a healthy uncomplicated delivery.

If you are interested in volunteering with New Beginnings and serving young vulnerable pregnant women please email us at: info@newbeginningshome.org we are currently looking for volunteers as well as a few staff members.

Meet Karrin!

One of my favorite parts about working here at new beginnings is that I get to use my passion and experience in photography to empower our mamas! I shoot maternity photos, birth photos, new born photos, and mama and me photos for all of our gals here at new beginnings. I love getting to show women the innate beauty that the father has created in them. I love getting to show them that they can be graceful and strong and beautiful all together, and that they are worthy to be loved and cherished. You may think, "Pictures can't do all that", but I truly believe that photography can be so powerful, not only for the viewer of the image  but also for the subject of the image if done in an empowering way. The latest shoot that I got to do was Maternity Photos for one of our new beginnings mamas, Karrin. She is about to POP! Her precious girl is due August 21st (so close!). Karrin can not wait to meet her little human! Karrin has a heart to love on people. She is so excited to start the journey of being a mama. She enjoys art, movies, games, and she loves to laugh!! Please pray for a safe and beautiful delivery of her little one, and that the weeks leading up to that day would be enjoyable and exciting! Enjoy some of this beautiful mama's portraits:
